Facilitator Visits and Support
One of the benefits of enrolling with Hope Christian School is the support of an experienced Home Education Facilitator.
Two Visits, Year-Round Support
Twice each school year, your facilitator will arrange a visit with your family. These visits provide an opportunity to celebrate your child's learning, answer questions, offer encouragement, and discuss your family's home education journey.
Our goal is to build a supportive relationship with each family while ensuring your child's Home Education program is progressing well and meeting Alberta Education requirements.
Relaxed and Informal
Facilitator visits are relaxed and informal. During each visit, your facilitator may:
- Celebrate your child's learning and accomplishments
- Review samples of your child's work and learning portfolio
- Discuss your child's progress and educational goals
- Answer questions and provide curriculum support
- Offer encouragement and resources for the months ahead
These visits are an opportunity to reflect on your child's growth and ensure your family feels supported throughout the school year.
Here for You, All Year
Every home education journey is unique, and our facilitators are here to come alongside your family. Whether you're new to home education or have years of experience, we're committed to providing personalized guidance, practical resources, and ongoing encouragement. You can contact your facilitator at any time during the year with any questions you may have.
Following each visit, your facilitator will complete the required progress documentation for Alberta Education and provide you with a copy for your records.
Eligible Home Education families also have access to Learner Support Services: speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and more, at no cost.
