Every child learns differently, and some students benefit from additional support along their educational journey. Through Alberta Education-funded initiatives, eligible Home Education families have access to a variety of professional services designed to help parents better understand and support their child's unique learning needs.

These services are available at no cost to eligible Home Education families and are intended to support parents as they provide a personalized education at home.

Available Supports

Professionals in Your Corner

Depending on your family's needs, support may be available from professionals such as:

  • Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Psychologists
  • Mental Health Therapists
  • Behaviour Consultants
  • Learning Consultants

These professionals provide consultations, practical strategies, recommendations, and resources to help parents support their child's learning and development. To schedule your first appointment with an intake consultant, complete the registration form through Khan Communication Services.

How to Access Services

Start With Your Facilitator

If you believe your child could benefit from additional support, simply contact your Home Education Facilitator. They can answer your questions, explain the available services, and help you connect with the appropriate supports.
