Shared Responsibility
Choose which subjects our certified teachers deliver and which you teach at home. School support, home education freedom, one plan.
The Best of Both Worlds
Shared Responsibility is a flexible program that allows families to partner with Hope Christian School by choosing which subjects are taught by our Alberta-certified Christian teachers and which subjects are taught at home. It provides the support of an online school while preserving the flexibility and personalized learning that families value in home education.
Designed for students in Grades 1-12, Shared Responsibility allows families to create an educational program that best meets their child's needs.
In a Shared Responsibility Program
- Alberta-certified Christian teachers provide instruction and assessment for the teacher-directed courses.
- Parents remain the primary educators for the home education portion of the program.
- Families choose which subjects are completed online and which are taught at home.
- Home education facilitators continue to support families with planning, encouragement, and home education requirements.
